Astral Communication is Xiaomi’s proprietary solution for offline voice calling. Unveiled alongside the 15T series, this technology relies on an advanced point-to-point Bluetooth protocol and custom hardware.
It supports device-to-device voice calls up to 1.9 kilometers for the Pro model and 1.3 kilometers for the standard version, helping users stay connected when traditional networks are unavailable.
Unlike standard walkie-talkies, Astral Communication enhances Bluetooth 2.4GHz performance with smart beam management and the Surge T1S Tuner.
Both parties must use Xiaomi 15T devices, and the feature requires a SIM card and a Xiaomi account to function. Over-the-air software updates starting September 24 enable this mode.
